Some items may be set as invisible the background color being allocted for them. Graphical drawing elements :lines, polylines and arcs have the color defined in the box Preferences, Miscellaneous tab. If the color in this box is set default, then the colors will be the one from Colors/Print box.

Grids and unis

Capture program allows setting and displaying of a guiding grid. The grid step is determined by the value of th parameter Pin-to-Pin spacing. Displaying of the gridis controlled from the View Grid menu, from Options Preferences Colors/Print box  or  from Options Preferences Grid Display box. From this table we can display or not the grid  and choose the grid style: points  or lines, or we can control the shifting of the pointer. Shifting of the pointer is done in the grid points when the Pointer snap to grid box is ticked. Contrarly shifting of the pointer is done with a step of 1/10 from the grid value. We can easily shift between  the two states using snap-to-grid button from the tool bar.

Pin-to pin spacing parameter controls the dimension the symbols show up in the desig board , the minimum distance from the terminasl being equal with the pin-to-pin spacing. Once fixed ,the pin-to pin spacing parameter value for a scematic page it cant be modified.Using the elements placed in the page cand be done by copying them in another page with with the desired setting.

Customary values for the pin-to-pin spacing are  0,1 inch (100mil) or  0,05 inch (50 mil). We remark that from the point of view of the purpose of our design, printed circuit board designing, this parameter has no importance, counting only when we need to set the electronic schematic in page.
