In the lower part of the screen we have the status bar. In this zone program messages are displayed ,info about the selected components and about the zoom factor  and in the right part we have the pointer’s coordinates.

 

Work units

Capture program can work with two units : inches and millimetres. We choose the units in

- schematic page : Options Schematic Page Properties

-in  project manager window Options Design Template Page Size

Settings effect from project manager window is active only after creating a new design or a new schematic page.

 

Opening and saving the files

We can open  design or project files with Open Project, Open Design. We can simultaneously open severeal projects,each with its own project manager window. We can move or copy files  between projects after Windows Explorer model.

 

We save with Save, or Save As. Project saving leads to saving of all the resources. Saving from the interior of a schematic page leads to the saving of the current page or of all the pages from the folder containing the current page and doesn’t lead to the saving of the project or of  other schematic projects. We exit the program by closing the project with File Close Project or File Exit

 

Articles displaying and colors modifying is done by  the command Preferences of the Options menu. In this frame the articles used in program are listed and a box with the colors used,and also a Print box where we can  tick if the printing or plotting is necessary or not.One can change a color by clicking the colored bar asssociated to the article,action which opens a color selection or allows defining a new color. (figure 5).
