The purpose of this tutorial is to explore the internal behaviour of semiconductor devices, so that the reader can understand the relation between the device geometry and material parameters on one hand and the resulting electrical characteristics on the other hand.

The link between the physics of semiconductors and the design of electronic circuits is also shown.

Small-signal operation of MOSFET and corresponding equivalent circuits are shown in order to give the basic tools for the design of CMOS-based integrated circuits.

Some other MOS structures like capacitor and switch are also described.
